The SCFC offers classes for three different age groups:
Youth/Kids — ages 8-13
Young Adult — ages 14-29
Adult — ages 25-88 (includes “family option”)
Classes for all ages are offered through FWCS Neighborhood Connection. See their website (pictured above, click on “Courses Offered” under Neighborhood Connection) for more information! You can find more info about the SCFC here or on Facebook. Become a FB fan of the club today!
Anyone can take the classes, you do not need to be within the Fort Wayne Community Schools system!
No previous fencing experience needed, all fencing equipment provided. After the fourth class session, class participants are encouraged to join the Summit City Fencing Club and start attending practices in order to augment what they are doing once a week in class. New SCFC members are required to purchase their own glove and plastron, also known as an underarm protector. Women must wear chest protection. Other equipment should be acquired in a timely fashion.

SCFC instructors do teach FWCS NC classes; however, if you have paid money to fence in FWCS NC classes you have not paid money to the SCFC and vice versa.
